This is to prepare your centre and, in particular, your carpets for cleaning to ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible.

Vacuum The Carpet
Before any carpet can be cleaned properly, especially if it is going to be done professionally, it should be vacuumed. Most any commercial cleaning companies will do that anyway, but it does no harm for you to do so as well.
This is especially the case on those areas of the carpet which are most used, as these are likely to have more bits of small grit and dust, which you would want to remove at all times, whether the carpets are due to be cleaned or not.
Move Your Breakables
Professional cleaning companies will always take the utmost care when cleaning your carpets, but as they go about their work, they may come across items which are valuable or delicate. Here we are referring to any unique pieces of art or furniture, and other breakables that will be difficult if not impossible to replace.
For insurance reasons, they would not normally move these on their own, in case they break them. That is why it is always a good idea for you to walk through your centre in the areas which are going to be cleaned, and where possible, move items which are breakable out of harm’s way.
Move Small Pieces Of Furniture
As well as moving your valuable breakables, it is also advisable for you to move any smaller items of furniture from the areas of carpet that you wish to be cleaned. These small furniture items include footstools, small tables, chairs and small cabinets.
There are three reasons for moving them, with the first being that they are likely to impede the cleaners when they are working on your carpet. Second, there is the risk that they might get accidentally damaged.
The third reason is the most prevalent and that is the section of the carpet where they are situated is likely to be one that needs to be cleaned, so it will need to be moved anyway. Moving all of them in advance makes the job a lot easier for the cleaning company and should help speed up the whole process.
Keep Animals and Young Children Away
Whenever a carpet is being professionally cleaned the process can stir up a lot of allergens, dust, and other particles, which is not the healthiest environment for children to be in.
In addition, young children and pets will let their inquisitive natures get the best of them, and eventually, they will find a way of going to see what the cleaning team are up to. They will be a distraction to the cleaners, and more seriously, it could be dangerous for them to be close to cleaning solutions and equipment.

The final brief point is to make sure you advise your cleaning company of exactly what types of stains they might be removing. Different substances and liquids may need specific types of cleaning solutions for them to be removed. If they know what they are up against in terms of the stains, the cleaning team will be able to tackle them properly.
